De Oude Kraal Wedding

This is Matthew & Michaela Leppan. They got married to each other in their garden last year, during hard lock down. They felt an urge from God to celebrate their marriage and wedding, and so, 1 year later they commemorated the promise they made to each other, surrounded by their friends and family at De Oude Kraal in Bloemfontein.

The day before Matthew & Michaela’s wedding their photographers & videographers were in a car accident. These two reached out to us to see if by any chance we were available the next day to come to Bloem to capture their day. The 1st of May just happened to be the only available date that we had for the month (with 7 other weddings lined up), and in that moment I knew that God knew long before we did, that we were going to capture this beautiful God-filled wedding.

This wedding was definitely one for the books, and we had the great pleasure of working with some incredible vendors. Ulrich from Bow Tie Evolution crafted the entire day. Chané from Blom Online created our Boho and textured dreams with her floral and table arrangements. Dylan from Lighticle set the mood with the naked bulbs and floating baskets, and Mardi-Lene from The Salon and Amber-Rose De Jager did Michaela’s Hair and Make-up respectively. And lastly, Michaela wore the most stunning dress was made by. 

The following quote was something that Michaela said to me at the wedding and I just loved it. It rings so true for so many couples in these times.

“You only get married twice, once.”
