Pepper Tree Wedding
One of the biggest privileges as a photographer is when another photographer asks you to photograph their wedding day. Louis and Vanessa are both in the wedding industry, Louis a photographer and Vanessa a wedding co-ordinator, which made it even more so. When I met with them prior to their wedding they told me that they wanted to do things differently considering that they have seen so many weddings themselves. So they decided to have their Pepper Tree wedding outside on the lawn of the venue that Vanessa works at, and prayed that it wouldn’t rain.
One of the moments that really stood out for me was firstly when V walked down that aisle. Louis mentioned afterwards that he didn’t think he would cry but felt so overwhelmed by the emotions of seeing his bride and couldn’t help but shed a few tears. This of course had everyone else in tears too.
Louis and Vanessa also mentioned that their table setting was really important to them and that they wanted to get some shots of just the two of them at the tables. The sun couldn’t have been more perfect as they strolled along their table at sunset.
And then lastly, the evening’s atmosphere was electric. Surrounded by their loved ones all cuddled up under the night sky on probably the coldest night of the year in Bloemfontein. It was magical.
I am so grateful towards these two, and will forever cherish the friendliness and level of appreciation I felt capturing this day.
With Much Love,
